Molweni Nonke. On 27 January 2018 IDF was born and never stopped growing and making strides under difficult circumstances.

IDF became 3 years old on 27 January 2021 and unfortunately like last year, due to lockdown we are not able to celebrate its anniversary again this year. We thank God that we did not die but kept on crawling to this day and we are still forging forward with all the strength we have.

We managed to be part of the activists in the fight against COVID-19 through an Awareness Campaign we embarked on, immediately after the lockdown was declared by the President. We distributed pamphlets and banners to Schools, Shops, Petrol Stations, Churches and the Public in isi Xhosa, English and Afrikaans. In December we embarked on the distribution of PPEs and Water to more than 20 churches and the public and from the 2nd of February we will start distributing to schools. We are still forging forward with our community development programs but not without limitation.

COVID-19 has affected our work but we will not be deterred by it from doing the landing a hand in developing our communities no matter the circumstances. We are proud of all our achievements so far, no matter how small or big they maybe. May God, Almighty open our ways and make us fulfill our goals for 2021 moving forward. Open the eyes and hearts of people, institutions and companies to see and recognize the work we are doing and support it in kind and financially. We place our hopes in God’s hands. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

IDF lives on and will continue living on.

Makube Njalo.
